activists in the United States. Since its founding in 1966, NOW's goal

use both traditional and non-traditional means to push for social change.

National Women's Political Caucus (NWPC) or the Caucus is a national,
grassroots organization dedicated to increasing the number of women in
elected and appointed office at all levels of government, regardless of
party affiliation.

EMILY's List is a political network for pro-choice Democratic women. It
identifies viable pro-choice Democratic women candidates for key federal
and statewide offices supporting them through raising campaign contributions;
building strong campaign; and turning out women voters.

Caucus for Women's Issues Congressional Caucus for Women's Issues (CCWI) was founded as a bipartisan
organization of the U.S. House of Representatives dedicated to improving
the status of women and eliminating discrimination "built into many federal
programs and policies".
Women's Policy Inc.
Women's Policy Inc. (WPI) is a not-for-profit organization providing nonpartisan
research and information on legislative and executive branch actions affecting
women. WPI was established in 1995 by the former staff of the Congressional
Caucus for Women's Issues with support from its Members, to carry on the
informational services formerly provided by the Caucus.
The National Political
Congress of Black Women National Political Congress of Black Women (NPCBW) is non-partisan
and is the first organization that has its primary mission the political
empowerment of African American women.
Engender
Engender is an information, research and networking organization for women
in Scotland, working to improve women's lives and increase their power
and influence. The organization campaigns to ensure that women and their
concerns have greater visibility and equal representation at all levels
of Scottish society.
Network of East-West Women
The Network of East-West Women (NEWW) is an international network of women's
organizations in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), the Former Soviet Union(FSU),
US, Western Europe using elecronic communications for for women's rights
advocacy, feminist activism and gender studies to fight sex discrimination
and protect women's status in post-communist countries.
